i am really struggling with how to stay positive when nothing i do seems to make a difference. i eat a plant based diet, almost no coffee, no wheat products, very little gluten, very little sugar aside from fruit and yet i don't improve. i am only getting worse. writing things down helps clear my head but does not cure my physical ailments!

Sarah Reiter - Hi Shani--I know how food restriction goes and how frustrating it can be! I'm in the process of healing from leaky gut, candida, SIBO and 28 food allergies. It's easy to get frustrated for sure! I'm assuming your restricting your food because your symptoms are digestive related as well. Your digestive system is like a feedback system and you can have an intolerance, allergy or sensitivity (to whatever your reacting to) even in small doses and often to foods you would not suspect. Try to stay positive and seriously consider (if not already) documenting the foods you eat and the symptoms you are experiencing and taking them to a specialist or naturopath in your area that will not just treat these symptoms.
